What is Chain Puff Digitizing?
Chain Puff Digitizing is a specialized embroidery technique that takes 3D puff to the next level. While it shares the same foundation as Serpent Puff, the key difference lies in the finishing: instead of a standard zigzag or satin top layer, we use a Motif Chain Stitch on the final surface.
In this method, foam is placed under the stitches to create a raised effect. However, the unique chain stitch top layer provides a textured, premium “linked” appearance that sets it apart from traditional 3D embroidery. Proper digitizing is critical here; the stitch density, underlay, and the specific motif settings must be perfectly calibrated to trap the foam securely while ensuring the chain pattern remains crisp and consistent.

Chain Puff requires even greater precision than standard puff digitizing. Because the Motif Chain Stitch is more intricate than a simple zigzag, the digitizer must carefully manage:
